What is a True Team?

The word “Team” has been talked about ad nausea. I’ve always loved being part of a team as a teacher, colleague, family member, you name it. However, I have come across many people who don’t quite get the true value of a legitimate team.
To me, a true team is one who values the strengths and weaknesses of its members. A true team works like a well oiled machine. It understands that we are human and that humans make mistakes. That’s how the true team operates. It gets that we are human and that when mistakes happen, we must learn from them and become stronger by learning from each mistake.
There must be trust in a true team, trust that when we err, we as a team accept that error and become stronger than before, without blame, shame or fault. Team members support each other no matter what!
