How to Change a Culture

Oleg Vishnepolsky posted the following statement on LinkedIn: “You do not change a culture by emails. You change it by personal example.” I totally agree with him. So many people today have grown comfortable with communicating through social media that direct communication is an art that is lost for them.
Think of the people who have made a difference in your life, who you consider your mentors. Did they mentor through emails? What qualities do you admire in them?
When I think of the mentors in my life, they all were leaders who had amazing communication skills and role models of true leadership. I can remember long and deep conversations that have made me the leader and coach I am today. They all had the qualities of the 7 habits of highly effective people.
I wish all of you such mentors and leaders in your life.
