I love today’s quote by Michael Jordan about the numerous times he has failed in games and shots. Jordan says, “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that’s why I succeed.” He reminds us that failure is not fatal. Failure is just another chance to try again.
As I’ve blogged over and over again, failure is an opportunity to learn another way. W. H. Auden says. “Failures are either those who do not know what they want or aren’t prepared to pay the price asked of them.”
This reminds me of the glass half empty belief or the glass half full belief. If we are open minded, a failure is not fatal. Failure is an opportunity to try again until we have success.
Presently, watercolour lessons are challenging my feelings of failure. Quotations such as Jordan’s and Auden’s are helping me to try again and to keep trying.
