The Importance of Being a Learner

Eric Hoffer said, “In a time of change, it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.”

I have long believed in the power of learning. I find myself getting excited about any new learning I can do. I read books that broaden my mind, educate me and challenge me. I love Wayne Dyer’s words in one of his podcasts where he says he looks at his library and chooses a book that inspires him.

I follow social media in order to learn and be inspired by the current articles and challenges. I write in my blog to share my inspiration. Rick Warren says, “The moment you stop learning, you stop leading.” I would add, you also stop truly living. I begin each day with a mantra of gratitude and intentions to make a difference in someone’s life each day. In order to be that inspiration, I must be a learner.

Happy Easter everyone! Keep learning and giving.
