Respect Others

As we grow up, many of us have been told to mind our manners. Most cultures have such expectations. I believe it is because all human beings of all cultures desire “Respect” from others. However, we must learn to “Respect” ourselves first in order to “Respect” others. We must learn to accept the fact that we are not perfect. Brene Brown, in The Gifts of Imperfection, shows us in her research that accepting our imperfections is extremely challenging. John Maxwell states that “Respect” is minding your manners no matter what culture you are with. My hope for all who read this blog post that you not only “Respect” yourself but receive and give “Respect” for and from others. This is one of the important factors for peace in this world.
