Be Kind

ChetnaMindfulness posts daily on Mindfulness and she has a blog which is lovely. I especially love the quote “In a world where you can be anything, Be Kind…” I’ve seen this quote many times and it is still a wonderful reminder that one act of kindness to someone in your day, can make a world of a difference to that someone since we don’t know what challenges each person might be facing each day.
ChetnaMindfulness states that Kindness is the state of caring about other people’s well-being and taking action to help make other people’s lives better and happier.”
Kindness can be defined as the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate towards others. Sometimes even a smile and a warm greeting is all someone needs to feel like they’re not alone in this world. Kindness is an interpersonal skill that allows us to connect with others and build meaningful relationships with them. When someone does something kind for us, we like them more and we want to cooperate with them more.
So, I challenge you to be kind to someone today by opening a door, giving them a smile, wishing someone a good day, offering a helping hand, or whatever you see fit.
Wayne Dyer said that when someone is kind to another person, it increases the saratonin level in the giver, the receiver and the observer. It is so easy to do but so often forgotten because of our daily busy lives. ‘
I make it my business to plan to make a difference in someone’s day, daily. And so should you.
